We had the pleasure of inviting the first graders over for Second Grade Orientation yesterday! After a rocking assembly and a tour around the building, they left with excitement in their eyes! We look forward to seeing these little Griffins in our halls next year! #LEADlikeaGriffin

Students can wear athletic bottoms and hats today. Field day shirts will be given out first thing this morning. Remember: shorts should be finger tip length or have tights layered underneath.
Activities start at 8:30 for all grades on the football field.
Parents are asked to remain on the track or bleachers to watch their child.
If your child is checking out and has a fast pass, they can sign out with their teacher from the field. If they do not have a fast pass, they must go through the office.

Yesterday was our last A.R. Celebration of the year at NDUE! In addition to that, our Million Word Club Winners got to take a trip to Raising Cane's for lunch, AND the students that achieved their A.R. Goals all four nine weeks got to play Book Bingo in the gym! It was a day dedicated to celebrating our Griffin Readers! We are so proud of y'all! ❤️📚#LEADlikeaGriffin
You are cordially invited to attend NDUE's End of the Year Awards Ceremony next Friday, May 17th in the NDUE Gym! We will have two celebrations, the first at 8:15 a.m. will be for second and third grade and the second at 9:30 a.m. for fourth and fifth grade. Attached is a list of the awards that will be going out that day. Students should receive notification if they are getting an award or are part of our program in advance. NDUE would like to give a shout-out to one of our own, very talented Griffins, Miss Whitley Chadwick! This past weekend, she competed at the Louisiana Music Teacher's Association Piano Rally. She was awarded first in her age group and the Outstanding Achievement Award for scoring near perfect in all categories. She is now eligible to go on to compete at the state level in June!
