Her lessons are filled with energy and creativity, making learning both fun and meaningful. Students say she encourages them, takes the time to be sure they truly understand, and pushes them to reach their highest potential. Every day, she reminds them that they are capable of more than they imagined—and because of her, they believe it too.

The class that reads the most books wins a pizza party, house meeting shout outs, and in-class treats.
Library AR Rewards (Mrs. Powell)
Students earn prizes as they hit major word count goals using the Accelerated Reader (AR) program:
Weekly Ice Cream Sandwich for 100% reading on level
100,000 words: Ice Cream Party
500,000 words: Candy Gift Bag
1 Million words: Backpack filled with candy and a gift card!
