Mrs. Allen's students discuss the evidence they have so far and determine that different light sources can emit different types of light. The purpose of this lesson is for students to explore different types of light and begin to answer the Investigation Question: Is all light the same?

Congratulations to Jordan , our talented art student, who won an art contest with the Shreveport Aquarium this weekend. #WolverineStrong

Students conducted a hands-on investigation to observe that light can cause materials to heat up, change color, and move. Students are using a solar powered toy and liquid crystal sheets of paper to build their understanding that light carries energy by observing the different changes the energy causes to the matter.
