LHS went red today in memory of Walker Pickett. Walker was a student at Converse, who died in a car accident earlier in the week.







LHS Counselors were celebrated this week for COUNSELOR APPRECIATION WEEK. Thank you for all you do Mrs. Bush, Mrs. Kasey, Mrs. Jasmine & Dr. Sonya Poole!



There will be no extended school day today.

Tomorrow LHS students may wear red shirts in memory of Walker Pickett.


Yearbook retakes are scheduled for Feb 13th! School uniforms must be worn for pictures.


It's time to celebrate 100 Days of School this Friday, Feb 2nd!


Attendance Matters was the theme today to celebrate those students with perfect attendance for the first semester. They were rewarded with a pizza party.









Saturday, Coach Stroud took these young men to McNeese to compete in an indoor track meet. This is the first time LHS has ever competed in Indoor Track.




Mr. Bush gets a daily visit from this group girls to keep him updated on all the campus gossip.


Junior High and Varsity Cheer tryouts will be March 22nd. There will be a mandatory parent meeting on March 7th at 5:30. Location TBA.


It's a Mardi Pardi for our PK - 5 students on Thursday, Feb 8th! Please note the times for grade levels. Admission is $3 and concessions will be sold.

Out of an abundance of caution, all DeSoto Parish Schools and district offices will remain closed on Wednesday, January 17th.
As main highways begin to clear, our numerous side streets and rural roads remain a major concern, as does the threat of black ice during the morning hours. Please take the necessary precautions if you must travel over the next 24 hours.
As always, student safety remains our #1 priority. We look forward to welcoming students and staff back to school on Thursday, January 18th.


Due to worsening road conditions in the parish, all DPSB schools & offices sill be closed Tuesday, Jan 16th.
