Today LHS wrapped up a week long celebration of Read Across America Week with a Book Character Parade, where students brought their favorite stories to life. It was a day full of creativity, imagination, and a love for reading.

Next Friday, students may wear crocs by paying $5 for a fundraiser that helps our Boys Basketball team! Coach Lindsey will be looking for the coolest pair of crocs! PK-5 students may turn their money into their Homeroom teacher. 6th-12th students may see Mrs. Megan or Coach Lindsey to pay their $5.

Next week our High School students will be taking the ACT (10th-12th) and Pre-ACT (9th). High School students only will have a virtual day on their non-test day. Students in PK-8th will be on regular schedule.

This week, our school is celebrating Read Across America Week! Our elementary classes had special guest readers visit their classrooms to share stories and inspire a love of reading. The students truly enjoyed listening to the special guests and celebrating the joy that books bring to all of us. 📚✨

Your NWLA 4H Food Challenge Regional Champions - The Menu Masters!!! Representing LHS on this 4 man team DeSoto Parish team are Cash & Riker. They will compete in the State Competition in May. Congratulations guys!!!

Celebrating our amazing 8th graders who scored in the 50th–89th percentile nationwide on the Pre-ACT! 🌟 These students have earned the title of Pre-ACT Rising Stars, and we couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and achievement. Today our student's led our annual Black History Month program. It was truly a way to honor the past and inspire the future.

❤️ Today we had so much fun celebrating National Heart Month! Our students donated $1 to wear red shirts and jeans to help others and learn about heart health. All of the money raised will be donated to the American Heart Association. We are so proud of our students for showing kindness and helping make a difference! ❤️

While we are excited about our Lady Tigers playing tonight, we are just as excited about our Tigers first round game tomorrow night!

At LHS we love our DeSoto Parish EMS, Firemen & DPSO Officers. This is a friendly reminder for us to help them out by doing our part & adhering to the Burn Ban!

Congratulations to our own Kennedi Smith! This morning she signed her National Letter of Intent to continue her educational & softball career at Texas A&M Texarkana.
