MANSFIELD, LA – DeSoto Parish Schools is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Anesha Ross as Supervisor of Administration. A dedicated educator and leader with 15 years of experience, Ross has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to student and teacher success. She currently serves as Principal of Mansfield High School.
A product of DeSoto Parish Schools, Ross has excelled both as a student and educator. A graduate and Valedictorian of North DeSoto High School in 2006, she later returned to serve the students of DeSoto Parish. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English and Social Studies Education from Northwestern State University. She quickly rose to leadership through the NIET Teacher Advancement Program as a mentor teacher. Ross continued her education, earning a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Reading Specialization from National University and a Master’s Plus 30 in Educational Leadership from Louisiana State University Shreveport.
Her career spans multiple leadership roles, where she has served as a Master Teacher at Mansfield High School before taking on the role of Assistant Principal at North DeSoto High School. In 2020, Ross became Principal of Mansfield High School, where she led the school to achieve its highest School Performance Score for two consecutive years. Additionally, she was just named the 2024-25 DeSoto Parish Principal of the Year, where she is now competing at the state-level competition.
Ross' leadership contributions extend beyond the school walls. She has played a key role in the district’s educational initiatives, including collaborating with Northwestern State University on summer learning programs, facilitating Educators’ Rising, and guiding the Upward Bound Trio program. Her dedication to fostering student achievement and teacher effectiveness has been instrumental in schools being named NIET Founders’ Award Finalists and a National Blue Ribbon School.
“I am humbled and honored to be appointed as Supervisor of Administration. In each role that I serve in, my goal is always to have the greatest impact possible on students,” said Ross. “I look forward to working with principals and their leadership teams across the parish, focusing on leadership capacity, teacher effectiveness, and student achievement. Until I fully transition into the role, my number one priority is to continue serving the faculty, staff, students, and community of Mansfield High School.”
Ross' commitment to education, her strong leadership skills, and her focus on student-centered growth make her an invaluable asset to DeSoto Parish Schools. She is the proud mother of one son, T.J., who attends North DeSoto Upper Elementary.

Ms. Ross will officially assume the role of Supervisor of Administration effective July 1, 2025.
