Congratulations to Mrs. Bettie Carter, Literacy Paraprofessional at Mansfield Elementary, for being named DeSoto Parish School Support Staff Member of the Year!
Mrs. Carter’s journey with DeSoto Parish Schools began in 1972, and she dedicated 33 incredible years to teaching before retiring in 2006. But her passion for education never stopped—she returned in 2007 as a full-time substitute and, in 2023, rejoined us in a full-time role as a literacy paraprofessional. Her commitment and love for our students and community have been unwavering. Thank you, Mrs. Carter, for making a lasting impact on generations of learners!
