Over the month of July, we will be releasing some back to school information for our returning and new to ND Griffins. You will need to complete a minimum of three lessons per week to be entered into the drawings! Winners will be announce via social media, and prizes can be picked up at the DeSoto Parish School Board or will be available to students when school starts at their school site.

DeSoto's Summer Learning Safari is starting soon! Please see the attached schedule if your child is attending. The location will be NDMS. Transportation will be calling each family to notify them of bus number and times for pick-up. Student attire will be school uniforms, and chromebooks should come with the students daily.

Our week at NDUE has been full of epic events, from inventive field trips to Party Central and Altitude to four different grade level celebrations! Our students have made all the memories, and our teachers are happy to have supplied them! Here is a sample of our fun! #LEADlikeaGriffin

NDUE Awards Day will take place Friday, May 17th! The 2nd/3rd grade ceremony will begin at 8:00 AM and the 4th/5th grade ceremony will begin at 9:15 AM. We look forward to celebrating our students' accomplishments with you!
The NDUE teachers and staff would like to extend their gratitude to our fabulous PTO and all the local businesses that participated in making our Teacher Appreciation Week happen! NDUE Students that are attending the Altitude or Party Central Field Trips next week may wear appropriate athletic attire the day of their field trip. Please remember shorts should be finger tip length or have tights underneath. Have a great weekend! #LEADlikeaGriffin

Students can wear athletic bottoms and hats today. Field day shirts will be given out first thing this morning. Remember: shorts should be finger tip length or have tights layered underneath.
Activities start at 8:30 for all grades on the football field.
Parents are asked to remain on the track or bleachers to watch their child.
If your child is checking out and has a fast pass, they can sign out with their teacher from the field. If they do not have a fast pass, they must go through the office.

We had the pleasure of inviting the first graders over for Second Grade Orientation yesterday! After a rocking assembly and a tour around the building, they left with excitement in their eyes! We look forward to seeing these little Griffins in our halls next year! #LEADlikeaGriffin

Yesterday was our last A.R. Celebration of the year at NDUE! In addition to that, our Million Word Club Winners got to take a trip to Raising Cane's for lunch, AND the students that achieved their A.R. Goals all four nine weeks got to play Book Bingo in the gym! It was a day dedicated to celebrating our Griffin Readers! We are so proud of y'all! ❤️📚#LEADlikeaGriffin
