NDLE: In an effort to support our local animal shelter through the wintery weather, NDLE will be participating in a donations drive! December 6-10, if you bring something to help out our furry friends, you will be able to bring YOUR furry friend (STUFFED ANIMAL) to school on December 10th! #DreamBelieveAchieve
NDLE: NDLE Parents, We are excited to have you join us for our Thanksgiving Meal today. Just a few reminders...1. Please park in the bus parking lot north of NDLE. 2. You will then sign-in and purchase your ticket for $6 exact cash. 3. Once your child's class enters the cafeteria, you will then join them to walk through the receiving line and then sit at the class' designated table to enjoy your meal with your child. 4. Once finished, if you would like to check your child out, you will do that with your child's teacher, at the table. 5. You will then exit through the front lobby and meet Kona-Ice to purchase a snow cone or hot chocolate on this chilly day. No one will enter and check-in in the Main Office today. North DeSoto Lower Elementary Families - VOLUNTARY COVID-19 and Flu Vaccinations will be available for the students of NDLE, ages 5 years and older starting at 9:30 am on November 16th. October 27, 2021 The statewide mask mandate has been lifted by Governor Edwards, and we will follow our original operational guidelines which allow mask coverings optional for students and staff. Although masks are optional on school campuses, masks must still be worn on school buses due to the federal transportation mandate. Our district will follow quarantine protocols set forth by the Louisiana Department of Health. If a person is considered in close contact, they must be quarantined to limit the spread of COVID unless fully vaccinated and asymptomatic. We are encouraged by the decline of positive cases in our district. As always, we will continue to monitor the trends of positive cases in our schools and communities and will make adjustments to our mitigation measures if the need should arise.

This change will take effect beginning Wednesday, October 27, 2021. The district will continue to follow all quarantine protocols as established by the Louisiana Department of Health.
