NDLE: Mon., Dec. 20 - Tues., Jan. 4 - CHRISTMAS BREAK - NO SCHOOL! Students return Wed., Dec. 5.
NDLE: Desoto Parish students received a surprise Thursday afternoon ahead of the winter holiday break. Desoto Parish School Board partnered with the Leaders of Faith community to supply each student with their own personal copy of a book to own and read over the winter break in support of the Louisiana Department of Education’s literacy initiative occurring state wide. #DreamBelieveAchieve

NDLE: A hugeTHANK YOU to The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation for donating enough books for each of our NDLE Little Griffins to have a book for Christmas! The Toys for Tots Foundation has partnered with Scholastic Book Clubs in a Literacy for All Campaign. Scholastic was kind enough to add NDLE to the list of recipients for these books. A special thanks to Lieutenant General, Jim Laster, for heading up this wonderful Literacy program. Our students are blessed!
