In Math Essentials today, small groups collaborated to discuss strategies to solve equations and make thinking visible on their equation solving strategy.


NDHS will host club meetings next week (Aug 28 - Sept 1). Meetings will be during WIN. Students can check the cohort classroom for the schedule. Cocurricular activities may not be tested or graded, but they educate—and benefit—students in ways that classroom activities cannot!


School pictures will be next Wednesday, August 30th! Students may wear a uniform shirt or spirit shirt with uniform bottoms. This will also be the date for seniors to make up missed portraits!


The DeSoto Parish Jamboree will be on Friday, August 25th. ND fans will park in the North parking lot and field. Signs will denote this area for all to see and LHS staff/DPSO will be directing traffic. See you Friday for some FOOTBALL!!

In our Business English/Customer Service courses, students created a poster on different customer mindsets. Their group was responsible for teaching the mindset to the class. They have to know the 6 customer minders for the customer service certification test.





North DeSoto (District no. 2) residents will consider a bond to address growth across the area. The proposed new high school assures space for this growth, and will ensure the efficient use of existing facilities, including an expanded and renovated Lower Elementary for more Prekindergarten classrooms and multi-use spaces.

In our Technical Writing course, students completed a mini research project on background information for their novel: Of Mice and Men.



In a recent five year enrollment projection for DeSoto Parish School Board, significant growth is projected for North DeSoto. This growth is expected to continue to grow for the next five years.

Community growth is driving the bond proposal in North DeSoto. A new high school will not only help the district meet expected growth, but will also provide a dedicated performing arts and career and technical education wings, a new turf practice field and an indoor multipurpose facility that will accommodate band, cheer, dance line and JROTC. In addition there will be a new training facility for wrestling and a new baseball/softball complex.
