Dear Mansfield Elementary School Families,
With great sadness, we share with you that we have unexpectedly lost a member of our Mansfield Elementary family. Our long-term paraprofessional, Mrs. Carol Booker has passed away
Mrs. Booker was beloved by our staff and students. We extend our deepest sympathies to Mrs. Booker’s family.
In times like these, it is important to remember that no one has to face grief alone. DeSoto Parish Schools is offering grief counseling and support services to any student or staff member in need. We encourage anyone seeking assistance to contact the Office of Student Services for resources, counseling, and emotional support.
The passing of this beloved educator touches the hearts of many of our community members, and you may wish to help the family in their time of need. At this time, we are respecting the family’s privacy and time to grieve. If there is something we can do to help the family as a Mansfield community, we will communicate that information to you.
We honor the memory of Mrs. Booker and the lasting impact she made on our students, our schools, and our hearts.
