Advanced Opportunities for Students:

Advanced Placement, CLEP, and Dual Enrollment College Courses

DeSoto Parish is proud to offer many options when it comes to earning College Credit while completing High School Graduation Requirements. Contact your student's high school for a list of advanced opportunities at their high school site.

We partner with Northwestern State University & Bossier Parish Community College for Dual Enrollment coursework and CollegeBoard for Advanced Placement (AP) and CLEP exam offerings. These opportunities allow students to earn college credit, while on a high school campus.

College Course Options (Dual Enrollment)

Dual Enrollment courses allow students to be dually enrolled in high school and college courses. The college course will be instructed on the high school campus either in person or virtually. The grade awarded will be placed on both the college and high school transcript. Students meeting college entry requirements may enroll in dual enrollment courses through area universities. They must meet ACT, GPA, and grade classification requirements. If interested in the opportunity students and parents should contact their high school counselor or principal at their home site.
