What is JAG-LA?
JAG-LA stands for Jobs for America’s Graduates – Louisiana.
It is an affiliate of the National Jobs for America’s Graduates Program (JAG), the nation’s largest dropout prevention and recovery program serving youth 12-21 years of age.
JAG is a program designed to educate students on careers, leadership, community service and social awareness.
JAG is a school-to-career program implemented in 1,000+ high schools, alternative schools, community colleges, and middle schools across the United States and the United Kingdom.
There are a total of 119 programs in the state of Louisiana.
The program’s goal is to improve the positive perceptions of students for themselves as persons and students, to assist us in our transition into high school, and to encourage us to remain in school and graduate.
