First grade is learning all about birds! Yesterday, they had a special guest, Willow the cockatoo! They got to see the bird's features they are learning about in class up close and ask all kinds of questions. Thank you Mr. Mike Hall for bringing Willow to first grade!

📝 Mind Mapping in AP English IV 📚✨ Our AP English IV scholars are diving deep into short fiction texts using Mind Mapping to analyze key literary elements like irony, characterization, and foreshadowing. This creative strategy helps students visually organize their thoughts and better understand how these elements work together to shape the story. It’s all about connecting the dots for a deeper understanding of literature! #SHSScholars #StanleyPROUD #AcademicExcellence

🌟 Stanley BETA Club Making a Difference! 🌟 Today, our Stanley BETA Club members had the privilege of serving at the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank in Mansfield. Our students worked alongside fellow community members to pack and distribute boxes filled with essential food supplies to over 340 residents. It was a day full of hard work, but the blessing was in the serving. 💙 A huge thank you to school board member, Phillip Palmer (District 6), for connecting our club to Higher Ground Ministries, and to school board member, Ronnie Morris (District 9), and his amazing team of volunteers for organizing this monthly event and ongoing effort to help our community! #StanleyPROUD #StanleyServes #BETAServes

Our Financial Literacy scholars have been hard at work learning how to manage income, expenses, and budgeting! 💰📊 In these hands-on stations, students tackled real-world scenarios, making calculations to determine whether each person was staying within their budget. Great job to everyone for applying those valuable skills! 📚✨

Members of Stanley’s instructional leadership team participated in a critical thinking strategy about vocabulary during their weekly meeting. Before implementing strategies in the classroom, teachers experienced it for themselves! These teacher leaders will share this activity with other teachers during their TAP professional development clusters. The three terms being acted out are critical thinking, leveling, and random grouping. Can you guess the correct terms? 🤔🧐
