It is a contagious virus that affects the neurological system of horses. However, her entry fee has been rolled until 2026. Macie also rank 5th in junior barrel racing in the 2025 Southeastern Rodeo Association and won 3rd in the Southeastern Rodeo Association Finals. Way to go, Macie! You are #GriffinStrong!

At North DeSoto Middle, our core values are Learn, Lead, and Serve. They guide every decision we make and every goal we set. As we move into a busy and exciting December, we want to take a moment to highlight how strong attendance supports each of these values. When students are present, on time, and engaged throughout the full school day, they are better positioned to learn deeply, build the skills to lead confidently, and find opportunities to serve their school and community. Every day matters, and your partnership in keeping students on campus helps us continue to grow in all three areas. To celebrate and encourage consistent attendance, we are excited to launch our December Monday Raffle! Each Monday in December, we will draw winners from students who: Were on campus all week, Did not check out, and Arrived on time each day. Students who meet all criteria for the previous week will automatically be entered. We can’t wait to see which students, and even which staff members, take home prizes next week as we kick off this fun attendance incentive! 💙🎉❤️CONGRATULATIONS❤️🎉💙 to our first NDMS students, Jirus and Kenny, and staff member, Mrs. Octavi, whose names were drawn this morning! Way to go, Griffins! You are #thedesotodifference!

Yesterday our NDMS mighty Griffin Advanced Band students auditioned in front of judges, prepared difficult music, and as well as played a song they have never seen or heard before. Out of 300+ students who auditioned across Bossier, Caddo, and Desoto Parishes, TWENTY of our NDMS students made it into the Symphonic and Concert District Honor Bands and they are now named some of the best middle school musicians in Northwest Louisiana - a record number for Desoto Parish! Congratulations on this HUGE accomplishment!! And e know you will represent Desoto well in January. #DeSotoProud #DeSotoStrong #OurMightyNDMSGriffinBandRocks
