October 16-20 is National Bus Safety Week. DeSoto Parish ensures that NDMS has the best drivers ever! Speaking with drivers this morning we learned that communication with parents is key. Drivers also shared students remaining in their seats, not standing, while the bus is in motion is vitally important to students' safety. Drivers mentioned they do bus walk arounds before beginning their daily routes and walk throughs when students have been dropped off. We appreciate our drivers and their intention to safety when carrying our most important assets, our students!
