The NDHS Leadership Team spent time last week participating in coaching conversations with teachers with student work as the focus. Today they spent time watching videos and giving each other feedback. We appreciate the teachers that were willing to participate in this work and willing to use their student work as the focus of the conversations. We enjoy learning together for the benefit of our students!!

Faculty is victorious yet again in the student/faculty basketball game. Final score was 26-25!! Students can try again next year!!
The Jump Start Summer program is designed to allow students the opportunity to earn dual enrollment credit and industry-based credentials during the summer in partnership with NLTCC Mansfield. These programs are targeted at students that are wishing to continue their education at NLTCC or can’t fit the courses into their normal school schedule due to conflicts. The program will cost the parents absolutely nothing and students have the opportunity to earn up to $1400 over the course of the program!

The NDHS Service Clubs are hosting a crawfish boil this Saturday, April 22nd from 11am to 2pm in the parking lot directly in front of the high school! Come join in on the fun as there will be cornhole boards and tables for folks to plop down and enjoy their crawfish. $20 includes 3 pounds of crawfish, 2 potatoes, and 1 corn. Today, DeSoto Parish welcomed prospective teacher interns and education graduates to the district for Discover DeSoto. We were happy to host three potential high school teachers at NDHS. We wish them luck with their future plans and maybe some will land with us.
Baseball and Softball celebrated Griffin Seniors tonight!! We are so proud of them and have so enjoyed watching them play ball over the years. Good luck as they finish their seasons!!
