Jeremy and Kalvin were nominated by one of their teachers, Mrs. Parker. Jeremy and Kalvin are currently in Mrs. Parker’s Geometry class this semester. . Mrs. Parker emailed Principal Ross the following, “ Both of these young men took the initiative in Geometry WIN to work on an extra proof problem that was quite difficult. In all of my years as a Geometry teacher, I have only had one student complete a similar proof problem, correctly; however, it was not as difficult as the one they completed. I appreciate the work and attention that they bring to class each day. They are a joy to have in class.” Congratulations, Jeremy and Kalvin. Having students like you in class makes a teacher’s day. The both of you make MHS a better place. At this time, Jeremy and Kalvin are taking a picture with Mrs. Parker. 🌟 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 | 𝓜𝓻𝓼. 𝓟𝓪𝓻𝓴𝓮𝓻🌟 Our second Mansfield High School Teacher Spotlight goes to Mrs. Parker. Mrs. Parker teaches Geometry and Algebra II. She was nominated by Sirinity Williams. Sirinity says, “Good Morning Mrs. Ross. I would like to give a special spotlight to Mrs. Parker. I personally feel like Mrs. Parker is one of Mansfield's top teachers and she doesn't get enough credit for the things she does in the classroom or for the things she does with students and their work individually. Mrs. Parker is no longer my teacher, but I still want to give her a shout out because when I had her as a teacher no matter how much help I needed she was always there to provide it, even if it took me a long time to catch on to whatever she was teaching in geometry. After she taught the class, if I still didn't understand something she would still come sit with me and teach it in ways that would help me better understand. She even gave up her free time to make sure I understood everything she taught. Everytime I came across something that was too difficult for me, I would try to give up and just fail, but she didn't let me keep that giving up mindset. She always told me that giving up isn't an option because she sees potential in me. She would make me pick my pencil back up and work with her until I mastered whatever it was that I was stuck on. To this day because of her I still don’t give up anymore, and I have been succeeding in every class ever since. I could go on and on about the things Mrs. Parker does. I hate this is my last year, and I won’t get to see her anymore. To show my appreciation I will gladly shower her with gifts during teacher appreciation week. At this time, Sirinity will present Mrs. Parker with some of her favorite things, courtesy of MHS Administration. Congratulations, Mrs. Parker.
